Milwaukee River Trail features 6 miles of hiking trails near Milwaukee, WI.
You can start at various points. I live in WFB so start on west side of river by the hilton on hampton and port... the trail entry is just beyond the back of the parking lot behind some industrial type building (NOTE, UNTIL FALL 2010 THIS ACCESS POINT IS CLOSED BECAUSE OF SOLAR PANEL INSTALLATION), you can drop in from capitol and and milwaukee river on the west side. Trail follows river down to north ave, you can cross over to the other side at the pedestrian bridge and ride singletrack north on the east side of river.
